Overview

Jensen Hughes has an exciting job opportunity for a Regional Business Development Leader for our Forensics line of business in the Pacific Northwest.  This position and candidate will ideally be based in Seattle, Washington. The Regional Business Development Leader will report to Forensics, but also work with Operations leaders to increase business professional consulting services in the Pacific Northwest. This position will be primarily a customer relations position focused on the Pacific Northwest, however, the role will also include marketing our forensics services throughout the US, and may require involvement and participation in BD campaigns, yearly US trade conferences and local events. The successful candidate will be a confident sales leader, with a client focused service-oriented attitude, both internally and externally. This person will be good at creating new relationships and expanding current ones.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Forensic Service Line leader who will work directly with the successful candidate to set goals and deliverables.
  • Accountable for increasing the Forensics line of professional consulting services and obtaining new projects across Pacific Northwest regional insurance, legal communities, professional organizations, and other targets that align with our forensics business strategy.
  • Meet regularly with existing clients to understand and increase our client satisfaction, stay current on market needs, and be point of contact for client relations.
  • Develop new relationships with forensic professionals, the legal community, insurance clients, manufacturers, and business clients.
  • Drive increases in revenue for targeted areas in the Pacific Northwest while partnering with Operational Sales Leaders to align priorities at the local level, allocate resources accordingly and provide increased collaboration to foster mutual success.
  • Reinforce relationships with current clients through regular and consistent contact and promotion of value-added services that are solutions driven.
  • Conduct weekly targeted number of value-added in-person client contacts focused on increasing market penetration and share to gain new clients.
  • Secure, coordinate and manage presentations at regional industry events.
  • Lead and participate in local marketing strategies, industry events, trade shows, etc.
  • Partner with the Jensen Hughes regional marketing team as needed to create and update client-facing marketing material that align with business strategy and stay current on market needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience partnering with operations and technical staff while achieving increases in revenue for professional consulting services.
  • Record of success demonstrated by over achievement of sales goals, awards, sales ranking, etc.
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influentially engage with both prospects and clients via phone/email/video conferences/face-to-face meetings, presentations, and more. 
  • Ability to create and deliver sales presentations using modern office tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Dynamics, MS Word, Excel).
  • Ability to create on-target messaging and leverage social media tools to promote business services, activities, and events (LinkedIn)
  • Ability to create and manage promotional and expense budgets.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50% within and occasionally outside of the state for national clients and conferences).
  • Candidates with prior business development experience in engineering, fire, life safety, property loss, or forensics consulting or related professional service highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
