Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking Engineering Interns in offices across the company. Learn from some of the industry leading professionals and gain experience towards your career goals of becoming an engineer. We provide technical support to a wide variety of engineering projects that range from day-to-day nuclear power plant operation to cutting edge research and development in all areas related to plant safety. Many interns at our company become full-time Associates upon graduation. 

 

 

Responsibilities

The individual we are looking for will learn to perform probabilistic risk assessments (PRA), engineering analyses, and develop technical documentation to support the safe operation of nuclear power plants. As a consultant, a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals, ability to learn quickly, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written presentation skills are key.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a BS or MS in Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, or other related field 
  • Prior experience with nuclear technology (e.g., United States Navy Nuclear Program) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Please include in your resume or application when you are available (immediately, summers only, etc.)
  • US Citizenship or Green card holder required 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Access database tools to track/analyze data in support of various risk analysis tasks
  • MathCAD experience a plus
