Jensen Hughes has a career opening for a Fire Protection Engineer/Fire Alarm Designer in our Los Angeles office.  We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial project for clients worldwide. 

Responsibilities


  • Plan and direct engineering activities for your own projects

  • Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses

  • Design and commissioning of fire protection systems

  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations

  • Be a key player in Business Development activities

Qualifications


  • 8+ years of experience in code consulting, design of fire protection systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment is required

  • Registered Professional Engineer and/or NICET certified in Fire Alarm preferred

  • Have excellent report writing and interpersonal skills

  • Should have the ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies and have good communication and negotiations skills

  • Can work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and wants to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes
