Overview

Jensen Hughes has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer/Consultant to add to our growing Northeast (PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME) team.  We are open to this individual reporting to any of our Northeast office locations or a remote work location utilizing our flexible remote policy for qualified applicants. Responsibilities

Jensen Hughes is a leading fire and life safety consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, fire alarm, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial projects for clients worldwide.  Qualified candidates will have a degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering discipline with fire engineering/consulting experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience. The successful candidate will:

 

  • Provide code consulting services and/or design fire and life safety systems for a variety of exciting projects and clients
  • Plan and direct engineering activities for your own projects
  • Conduct building fire protection, code and life safety facility evaluations
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Fire Protection Engineering (or related discipline) with 3+ years of related experience.
  • AutoCAD experience and/or experience with Revit desirable
  • Licensed as Professional Engineer (PE) or able to gain licensure in the future
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies to individuals with varying technical experience
