Jensen Hughes has a newly created position for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer preferably based in our Khobar, KSA location, however suitable candidates residing in any Middle East location are welcome to apply (in particular Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Oman).  Qualified candidates must have Oil and Gas, Infrastructure and/or Industrial experience.  We are looking for highly motivated, passionate, experienced individuals with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage projects workload and people. This is a Client facing role and therefore a solid technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional, infrastructure and industrial projects for clients worldwide. We have recently secured HCIS license in KSA, and are preferably seeking suitably qualified candidates with HCIS experience. Qualified candidates will have experience and passion in Fire Protection System Design, Code and consulting and/or Performance Based Design.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Carry out Design work for HCIS clients in the following sectors: Petroleum, Electricity, Petrochemical, Water, Industrial Services, Communications, Mining, Gas, Civil Explosives, Chemical Manufacturing, Metal Manufacturing, Ports.
  • Attend Client meetings and Design meetings.
  • Prepare and present Technical Reports and presentations.
  • Deliver on Projects and manage and coordinate technical workloads.
  • Participate in a small amount of various levels of Business Development, including meetings and presentations with Clients and developing proposals.

Qualifications

As a member of our team you will have the following qualifications:

  • Technical Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) and related experience in code consulting, design of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems or similar.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Fire engineering
  • PE or Chartered Engineer highly desirable.
  • Experience with HCIS highly desirable.
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in English. Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and wants to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
  • Experience in the Middle East market is highly desirable.
