This position is responsible for leading a team of managers or supervisors and technical contributors across one or more offices performing a range of professional service lines.  The position has a strong focus on staff engagement and career development.

The Director is responsible for Managers, Project Managers and is a people leader of 7-30 people across all service lines. The service lines include Fire + Building Safety, Forensics, and Security. Function as the site leader coordinating all tasks associated with this role including the promotion of our Purpose + Principles, facilitate Jensen Hughes policies and procedures, facilitate company-wide sub-region wide communications such as town halls and host site meetings. Work with leadership team to promote a positive and healthy office culture. Foster a culture of acceptance and diversity in thought. Promote employee engagement with our clients in a satisfying manner by ensuring positive work environment, work-life balance, guidance towards career goals and interests, and competitive compensation. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues to deliver quality products, on time and within budget. Manage client expectations and relationships through clear and thoughtful communication and assist team members in doing the same. Ensure business processes are implemented and recommend improvement for delivering of best-in-class service. Strong focus on staff engagement and career development. Assist in recruiting and retaining top talent.




The position requires 8-12 years’ experience and demonstrated successful history in performing technical consulting work and developing, cultivating client relationships, and leading people.
Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering or science in a technical field.
Experience in professional service business processes.
Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver sales presentations to clients.
Professional Engineering License or another professional designation desirable.
